I currently work three jobs while going to school full time. I am a caregiver for a quadriplegic woman on the weekends, I work with an agency providing habilitation services for a child with autism one day a week after work/before school, and finally at a private school teaching children that have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This is my passion in life - to help those who might fall short in ways of helping themselves. My cousin was diagnosed with autism at an early age; so growing up, I had exposure that not every nine year old had. Even though technically I'm supposed to be the one teaching, every kid that I have ever worked with has taught me more than I can put into this paragraph.
I have a dog named Bella, and she means so much to me. I've gotten teased a lot because I probably treat her more like a child than a pet. She's been with me through the good times, and has just snuggled up when things got tough. In my spare time (which is a rare occasion when you combine full time work with full time school), I like to go to the shooting range, then come home and relax with a glass of wine and a movie.
Geometry hasn't ever been a sore spot for me, but I know it's not like that for everyone. I hope this blog helps everyone feel as comfortable with geometry as I do =)
