Geometry - post 3

What's my angle?! This was an easy lesson for me, because it is super simple. I think geometry itself is pretty simple, though =)



I think the most important thing to remember for this lesson is the difference between the vocab. Remembering the difference between complementary vs. supplementary angles. One way I remember is supplementary angles need a supplement of an additional 90 degrees to make a total sum of 180 degrees between 2 angles. 

Another thing are the formulas. Finding the sum of the interior angles is (n-2)180. If you want to find the measure of each interior angle of a regular polygon, just divide the sum (using the formula I just gave) from the number of total angles. For example, to find the sum of all interior angles of an octagon:
(8-2)180*
(6)180* = 1080*
To find the measure of each interior angle:
1080*/8 = 135*
